Allison Cousins is heading up a group to keep the Ford City 4th of July weekend a special time for local families and for FC alumni to have a special week to revisit where they grew up.
Simpler times are a-coming! Local4All is working to simplify the sales process while keeping the same level of service to customers and partner restaurants.
With only two days before the Remember When concert at 10th St Station in Ford City, it's time to check with Janny's Hallmark or Marcia's Garden to see if there are any tickets left. Local4All may have 1-2 seats left at their table. First come, first serve. Call Carl @ 724-664-1221. [Note from Carl: Since I have an out-of-town commitment, Julie will be playing hostess at the table.]
In preparation for their Mountain Bike Race this weekend, Neill Andritz and RRWA volunteers will meet at the main parking lot on Wednesday Sept 4th (bring your own tools if you have them) to fix washed out areas of the mountain bike trail, time to be announced. One of the members of the mountain bike race committee will go out to the site with Neill before then to assess damages and create a to-do list.
About RRWA, the Trail, and related information on their website, www.rrwa.org
On Facebook, search for "Roaring Run Trail'.
As you can see at the top of the right sidebar, our specials are much easier to find than before. Some of them are linked to pages and some are not. For deals that you thought were a great deal, let us know! We appreciate your feedback.
Kudos to the Ford City Renaissance Committee for a wonderful Light Up Night. I had the privilege of helping kiddies up and down off the Firetruck Ride and it was fun to see the glow in their eyes and the smiles on their faces. Paul, Barb, Steve and others, thank you for your efforts for Ford City and our community.
Little did I know that Joy Mulkern's invitation to connect on LinkedIn.com would result in a win-win within 24 hours of reading. She and her husband Jim have two businesses and need to be somewhat frugal in how they spend their advertising budget. They chose to invest in our 'Enhanced Brochure' which allows their customers to post comments. I'm looking forward to hearing more about them. http://polywood.local4all.com
As most of you know, I am always looking for new and fresh content for our website and check out these black and gold rockers!
Great decor for the Steelers faithful
Got any Steeler fans in the family? Here's a novel gift idea.
Their other business is building Jim Barna log homes and, while financing has been a struggle for some of their buyers in the past two years, they say 2010 has a lot of potential. You can read about the J&J (Jim and Joy) Experience on their log homes website - http://www.jimbarnaofpa.com - and see some really nice pictures.

Kudos to the Kittanning Paper's Nathan Lasher for a great write-up of local news, also to veteran volunteer Paul Klukan for leading a team of Ford City High School students in creating a set for the school's musical which starts tonight.
